The roof is laid out in separate elements on the roof pattern.

For convenience, the models have Pivot set up to place them on the roof frame with the Vertex binding.

The metal sheet has a background, in the edit poly it is enough to hide the roof geometry, leaving only the background (Plane), and spread the sheets as Instance along the roof perimeter, if necessary, apply the slice modifier to the group of selected elements, then make Unhide All in the edit poly.
