With the METRO chair, Mia wanted to make a simple yet comfortable wooden chair suitable for different types of rooms, contexts and styles. Light, shadow and simple shapes create a modern look, revisiting a classic type of armchair. Looking from the studio window at the construction site of the new Copenhagen metro line, the name came by itself, emphasizing the urban quality. The METRO armchair features organically curved armrests and back legs that elegantly serve as a comfortable backrest support.
