Melaleuca bracteata is an evergreen shrub or a small bushy tree that usually grows from 2 - 15metres tall, but exceptionally reaching 20metres. The tree is harvested from the wild for local use as a medicine and a source of wood and essential oil. It is sometimes grown in soil conservation projects and also as an ornamental.
