For the 2009 version of 3ds Max, the textures in the "Diffuse" and "Reflections" slots are using gamma correction = 2.2 ("Candlestick" and "Sparrow" materials). Consider this when are you using the model in later versions of 3ds max.
Use the "ColorCorrecton" map in the "Diffuse" slot to get the desired tint.
